Sometimes a Charger (the aptly named bug that charges at you) will blast you cem feet to safety completely on accident, or maybe your squadmate misplaced a grenade and you see their newly limbless body whip across the screen at the speed of sound.
Also, some players are experiencing crashes when trying to join a lobby either via Quickplay or via private lobbies. To add to this, people are criticizing the game for its use of the anti-cheat software, nProtect Gameguard, which may put you off.
Best answer: There's been no concrete confirmation of this, but Helldivers 2 does seem to raise or lower enemy density depending on how many players there are in your squad.
Visually, Helldivers 2 benefits immensely from the move from topdown to Helldivers 2 Gameplay full third-person 3D visuals. Although the planets are barren, they are studded with bases, hives and wreckage sites, and they provide cover and height where needed. The interplay between players is frenzied and amusing. Controversially, the game has team killing switched on, so if you’re a little wild with your machine gun or nuclear strikes, you can easily take out a pal or two.
When selecting stratagems, it’ll be essential to coordinate with your team to select the best possible load-outs for the enemies and mission type. If you’re going up against armored enemies, like the Terminid Charger, you or a squadmate can equip armor-piercing weapons, like the AT-48 Recoilless Rifle or the AC-oito Autocannon, which feature a teammate-assisted reload to keep battles even more chaotic.
While Helldivers 2 strongly encourages playing with friends and even comes with a built-in code-based friends list, it also has a quickplay matchmaking option that helps random players quickly squad up.
Helldivers 2 seems like it'd be a ton of fun to play with someone via local "couch" split-screen co-op, which is why it's such a bummer that the game doesn't support this feature on PC or PS5.
